the best horror movie

THE BEST HORROR FILM I HAVE EVER SEEN

...I don't like horror movies. So, I haven't seen many, but prhaps the best I've seen is Frenzy. It is not exactly a horror film, but keep you tense until the end. It's about a killer, but you don't know who's the killer till the middle of the film. He kills women with a tie and throw their bodies into the Tamesis
. The worst skil of the murder is that he tells to the police that the murderer is his friend, the ex-husband of the last woman he has killed...

When I saw it, it kept me tense, so I enjoyed the film so much. I know it isn't the typical horror story, where appears a lot of blood and people scream. But after some hours, when you remember the film, you get scared of what can happen to you...

comic relief

The comic relief is a resource of films which intoduces a funny scene in the middle of a tragic or dramatic situation. Sometimes it is used to introduce a very scary part of the film... I remember that durin the Orfan, Ilaughed when the main character killed a pigeon with a brick.

The psychological horror story (PHS)

EDGAR ALLAN POE & ALFRED HITCHCOCK

Edgar Allan Poe invented the PHS, he started writing gothic novels, but he thaught that horror was in our mind so he started writing PHS like The tell-tale heart or The black cat, both published the 1841. He also invented the science fiction genere and the detective story .

Alfred Hitchcock's horror stories were te most famous of the time (and still now), they were great. Imagine how: his nickname was the master of suspense...
He often used psychpaths and sociopaths as main characters, and for the fisrt time in cinema's history he put in the mind of the assassin...  Muahahahhahaha!!!!!!

The gothic novel...

The first person who wrote a Gothic novel was the writer Horace Walpole. He published The Castle of Otranto the 1764, that was the main step to the horror stories and films we know now, but then it significated the starting of anew writing style: the Gothic.

There are some elements that are synonimum of the Gothic novel and we should know:
  • Women threatened by a powerful, impulsive, tyrannical male
  •  Supernatural or otherwise inexplicable events
  • The metonymy of gloom and horror
  • The vocabulary of the gothic
  • Omens, portents, visions

MY PASSION

Sailing, oh sailing... When people ask me why do I sail, I quickly answer: because I like it! But let's go further, why do I like it? It is difficult for me to answer this question. first of all I should tell you why did I start sailing. That's a bit easier, I started early young, maybe with four years, in summer. Then, my parents used to sail everyday, and also my sister. I remember that I got on the boats with them and had a great time. After some years, I started to compete in races and become more and more  competitive. Since then, I love sailing. It is something special. When I sail I feel different, I feel free... The sea gives me a strange power which makes me feel energic and in contact with nature.

Sometimes when I talk to people and tell them that I sail, they think that I just sit on a boat and wait for the wind to push me, or that I only spend a few minutes there and then contiune a normal day (as if you go to play football), but sailing is much more. When you sail, you get caught and you can't stop... It requires a lot of hours and effort. But once you sail, you don't matter about hours, you just think about do it more and better, it's like a drug.
